Last year, BNBCE organized a national fellowship/scholarship program, giving eight young women from across the United States the resources and mentors to produce a capstone project presenting a modern solution to cybersecurity concerns. With connections to mentors through the GirlSecurity network (www.girlsecurity.org), and funding from Facebook, the fellows were able to create creative, next-generation solutions to cybersecurity issues including:
- Local Youth Art Gallery in Miami, Florida
- Cybersecurity Training App on Android
- Virtual Field-Trips to Connect Youths to Female Cybersecurity Role-Models
- …and MORE!
TWO FELLOWS WERE FLOWN TO GIRLCON CHICAGO TO PRESENT THEIR PROJECTS AT GOOGLE CHICAGO & CONNECT WITH SPONSORING TECH COMPANIES!
